Pebble in the Water: Why we Make a Difference More than We Know: a Lecture with Bob WelchSeptember 17, 2015

This is the second lecture in our 2015 Speaker Series, featuring Bob Welch.

Bob Welch is an inspirational speaker, author, award-winning columnist and teacher who has served as an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Oregon.

The lecture starts at 6:15PM. Admission is $12, and tickets are available at the Gresham Historical Society. Please purchase your tickets in advance; as seating is limited, we cannot guarantee that tickets will be available at the door.

Genealogy Class: Intro to GenealogySeptember 19, 2015

The first of three planned genealogy classes, this is a free orientation to help individuals interested in learning more about their family history. The class will last roughly one hour, ending in a Q & A session and a tour of the Gresham Historical Society research room.

The Ties that Bind: Quilts Made in Community, and Documenting Your Quilt History: a Lecture with Mary Bywater CrossOctober 15, 2015

This is the third lecture in our 2015 Speaker Series, featuring Mary Bywater Cross.

Mary Bywater Cross is a quilt historian who works to move the awareness of quilts as visual records of women's history beyond the confines of the traditional quilting world to the broader expanse of public education.

Genealogy Class #1October 17, 2015

This is a more in-depth exploration of genealogy techniques for beginners. The class will last an hour and will be followed by a tour of the Gresham Pioneer Cemetery. Admission is $12. Tickets can be purchased at the Gresham Historical Society. Seating is limited.

The content of this class will be guided by attendee questions and topics of interest chosen during the previous class. The class will last an hour and will be followed by a tour and brief history of Linnemann Station. Admission is $12. Tickets can be purchased at the Gresham Historical Society. Seating is limited.

Mr. Carnegie's Grand TourDecember 1, 2015

Participate in Clark County Historical Museum's "Mr. Carnegie's Grand Tour". Pick up a passport at the Clark County Historical Museum, at the Gresham History Museum, or download one from the link below. Visit the sites, collect stamps, and turn in a completed passport to the Clark County Historical Museum by the end of the year for the chance to win their prize gift basket.
